Microfiber cloths are perfect for cleaning up messes and wiping down surfaces. They pick up plenty of dust and dirt. But did you know that you should actually wash your microfiber cloths the correct way? Here are some tips for washing them correctly.
Wash them on a hot cycle, and then air dry or tumble dry them, on low heat. Dont wash with high heat — it can melt the fibers and render them less effective.
When laundering microfiber fabric, read the care instructions on the tag. When it comes to keeping it soft and absorbent, wash in cold water with gentle detergent.
Avoid washing microfibre cloths with course materials that can ruin them to keep them looking new. Clean stains promptly and wash it frequently to avoid dirt accumulation.

Yet another mistake is using fabric softener, which may coat the fibers and render them less effective. Have instead a mild detergent and leave out the fabric softener.

Do not glove car wash materials with rough items, because this can injure the filaments and make them weaker. Wash with other soft materials to help them stay in good form.

Wash microfiber products no less than every season, and tend to stains quickly to maintain them in new condition. This will help keep dirt build-up to a minimum and will also help keep the fibers clean.
